Sweet Valentine

This past weekend we got an update on sweet Lina. Oh, isn't she a cutie??? It says that she loves to be sang to and she sucks her thumb.....ohhhhh!!! We sponsor her through Pearl River Outreach. We just adore this beauty. I'm going to see if we can't send her a little care package with some fun toys and a blankie.

I have LOVED sponsoring Lina and finding out more about the awesome things they do at Pearl River Outreach. I got some heart warming information yesterday from the people at PRO. I kindly asked them if they could do a little research for me. I have always felt like Lucy was in foster care while in China. I will have to go into details at a later time, let's just say a mama knows. It turns out she WAS in foster care after all! I had a feeling the information we got in China wasn't correct, it just didn't add up. Now, we may be able to exchange information and photos with Lucy's foster mom. This means the world to me. They also are going to get me a photo of Lucy's finding location. After, 5 years we can put together some of the missing pieces. This is priceless...YAY!!!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!

Happy Chinese New Year! 2010 The Year of the Tiger! We celebrated last night with our friends, the Yamamotos. We met the Yamamotos last year through the C.A.S.T. host program. You may remember them from here. We went to their house for a yummy Dim Sum dinner. The kids and I had so much fun. Jeff is still in NY and wasn't able to join us. The kids loved getting red envelopes with candy and money. Olivia is happy because this is her year....she's a tiger.

Tybee and Lucy.....they are so cute and they play great together.

I took a photo of my favorite dish. These are fried shrimp with eggplant, I'm not sure what they were called, but they were delicious!

I'm Still Here...

Hi All!

I'm still here...in blogland. Jeff and I celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary on the 5th of February. I can't believe it's been 16 years! I married my best friend, my soulmate. There is no one else I would rather be on this journey with. I love you Jeff!!!

On a sadder note....my grandma Gold passed away on February 1st and I went back to Kansas City by myself for the the funeral, which was on Friday, February 5th....our anniversary. I was good to see my mom and extended family. My grandma had been in a nursing home with dementia for 9 years. I felt a since of relief with her passing...now, she is living.

Jeff left this morning for NYC to work the International Toy Show for FOOTCYCLES. The kids and I are celebrating Chinese New Year tomorrow at our friends house. We are having a catered Dim Sum dinner....YUMMY!!!

I will try to post some photos later.
