House Projects

We moved into our house last June and have been busy trying to make it "ours."

We loved the feel of the open living room/kitchen.  These rooms are we we spend most of our time and we needed to function for a family of five.  We have made lots of changes and we love the new look. 

 Here is the new view of the kitchen.  We painted the island "french linen" and added a wall of board and batten.

 We also added board and batten here in the nook coming in from the garage.

 This is the other side of the kitchen island.  This was previously a wine rack and we took it out to make shelves.

 Look to the left and you can see our new curtains.  I LOVE them!

Last, but not least is the open shelving we put up.  We took out the cabinet that was here.  

I am loving the new look and I'm so thankful I have a husband that's so handy.  :)

Happy Birthday Daisy!

 We celebrated Miss Daisy Doodle's 3rd Birthday today!

 This photo was taken just after Daisy had her birthday treat and we sang "Happy Birthday"

 You may remember, when we first got Daisy, our friends got their dog, Maya from the same litter. We placed a text to Maya's family this morning in Denver.  We sent this photo (above) of Daisy to Maya's family and Maya's family sent this photo (below) to us.  Click here to see the photos from the first day we brought them home.
