Jeff and I told the kids this year we were not spending any money on Halloween costumes and they would have to be creative if they wanted to dress up. Well, to our surprise, they loved the idea and came up with great costumes. Olivia was a peace activist, Jack was a clone trooper, (from Star Wars) and Lucy was lucky enough to have many dress up clothes to choose from and decided on being a cheerleader. We celebrated with the Ingrams and the weather was unseasonably warm. This is the first time we have been trick-or-treating without coats, it was definitely a Halloween to remember.

Four Years Ago......a look back
I thought I would take a look back...four years ago when we traveled to China to bring home our little Lucy. Those first days in China, Lucy was so sad and scared. Each day we were able to see more and more of her sweet personality shine through. She has grown and changed so much over the past four years. She is an amazing girl and we are so blessed to have her as our daughter and little sister.
These are the first photos we took of Lucy. She was very sad and not quite sure what to think of her new family.
This photo was taken at one of the many Chinese restaurants. Hunan is famous for it's spicy chili peppers. We loved the spicy beans and flying pie. Our all-time favorite meal was the Dim Sum lunch in Hong Kong.
Yea!! I have my forever family.
This is our photo on the famous red couch. All adoptive families and the babies get their photo taken on the red couch at the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou China. It's become an adoption tradition.

Lucy's 5th Birthday
We celebrated Lucy's 5th birthday early, so Grammy could join in on the festivities. We hosted a fun filled afternoon tea party with Min Fei, Addy and Grace. Lucy will be 5 on October 24th. The 25th we will be celebrating Lucy's "gotcha day." Happy Birthday Lucy! We love you!

Fall Fun
These are photos taken at our local pumpkin patch. It was cold, rainy, and muddy, but we still had a great time. The kids were so excited to have Grammy join us.

Cousins Visit
Jeff's cousin, Barb and her family came for a visit to Colorado. We were able to spend a wonderful afternoon with them. Diane, Rick and Matthew came down from Boulder to join us. The kids had such a good time playing together. After they left, Jack asked, "can you marry your cousin?" We are looking forward to seeing them again in March.

Uncle Bryan Visits
Uncle Bryan came to see us before his deployment to Iraq. We had a great time in Breckenridge for Octoberfest, hiking, playing games and having some great laughs. We will miss him and we are praying for his safe return.
